Batt display doesn't matter; this is all about charging voltage and capacity: Li-Ion and Li-Poly batteries don't like overcharging, they die very soon, that's why manufacturers set up the phone in a way that the battery is a but undercharged all the time - it doesn't harm, only standby reduces.
Therefore manufacturers set up standard values; they are unique for the specific phone since their ADC has to be calibrated individually. But they calibrate it with fixed voltage regardless of the used battery type.
Theoretically each battery also could require an own sensor setting. I don't mean it because of the capacity, just because it depends on the actual manufacturer/batch what charging values are ideal for the specific battery.
And here is the point why I'm writing this: using another phones values can damage your battery, result shorter battery life - it's just a roulette what you are playing when uploading another phones settings. If you win - you will have more standby, but this doesn't mean that on a third phone the same settings will work. And it can result that the phone will work allight with your original battery, but another one can be damaged -it's just a matter of luck. |
