Ben has never been off shore before and camouflages to hop on a
cruise with captain Wolfgang Watersworth.

Directors Comment by Andreas Hafele:

The water regulations and shipping laws on the Thames made it initially hard to obtain permission to shoot this scene on the water, but once it had been granted the main problem was the confined space. Although Wolfgang Watersworth is shorter than most of us, squeezing him, Sykes and the camera crew aboard the riverboat was quite problematic. The camera was rigged solidly to the front edge of the boat and everyone else had to fit in around it. As we were unable to then move the camera, the fear was that it may look a little too static, but we soon discovered that the natural ebb and flow of the moving boat gave us a constantly changing background which provided us with a good degree of dynamism. Meanwhile poor Sykes was sweating in his little zebra costume and Wolfgang was very warm under his Captain’s hat. Thankfully we were forced to shoot this scene very quickly, as the water level was rapidly subsiding, so they could both return to shore for some shade and refreshment.
