Club-Siemens closing down



Sorry guys.


As of today, all sections apart from the Forum and Webshop are closed here on Club-Siemens. No more News, Mobile updates, WAP-site, Wallpapers etc.

The Webshop link will be kept as long as our partner in Germany keeps it going.

The obvious reason for this is the current situation with BenQ-Siemens and the fact that BenQ doesn't seem to care about the mess. Many of my friends inside BenQ-Siemens have lost their jobs but got no info from BenQ.
BenQ doesn't care about Support, doesn't care about their employees, doesn't care about us users. They closed down BenQ-Siemens Nordic, even though it was one of their few profitable markets! Now operators and resellers in e.g. Norway (respect to them!) are paying for the Support for BenQ-Siemens users, as BenQ themselves don't care.


The faith of this Forum is yet to be decided. It will for sure be up until next year.


Club-Siemens has been a great personal success for me. Never made much money directly from the site, at least not more than the costs, BUT it gave me the job in London that I still enjoy. As a result of me getting this job, I've also been able to offer 4 of my friends a job here and change their lifes. Our highly respected Admin Governa will join me and my team (Device Management) this Wednesday. It's time to kill off all speculations about where I work too, as some still think I work in Siemens, but I've never done that. Only takes a search on Google to see that I work for Macrospace, though the company has now changed name to glu mobile.


I'm not the nostalgic type. Doesn't make me sad that we've lost Siemens even though I appreciate a good phone. I'm sure a few anti-Siemens guys will celebrate when they see Club-Siemens closing though hehe. I don't care. Siemens mobile phones are history now. What comes next from BenQ-Siemens is not proper Siemens and as such not in my interest... well, except for in my job that is
