这就是我至今能背诵出来的台词～够经典～还有两句。
一个只知道中文：我的内心所想，别人无从知晓。
另一句，忘了，只在海报上见过一次。大意是聪明的人救自己还是什么的。哪位能准确说一下？
这些台词，均是RED的V.O.（个人独白），整部电影大量穿插着那低沉的声音，缓慢平静的述说。

Andy once talked about doing easy time in the hole .Now I knew what he mean.
In 1966,Andy Dufresne escaped from Shawshank Prison.I remember thinking it would take a man six hundred years to tunnel through the wall with it.Andy did it in less than twenty.
Andy loved geology.I imagine it appealed to his meticulous nature.An ice age here, a million years of mountain-building there,plates of bedrock grinding against each other over a span of millennia ... Geology is the study of pressure and time. That's all it takes,really,Pressure and time.That and a big damn poster.
Like I said.In prison,a man'll do most anything to keep his mind occupied.It turns out Andy's favorite hobby was totin' his wall out into the exercise yard a handful at a time...
The guard simply didn't notice.Neither did I.I mean,seriously,how often do you really look at a man's shoes?
Andy crawled to freedom through five hundred yards of shit-smelling foulness I can't even imagine.Or maybe I just don't want to.Five hundred yards.The length of five football fields.Just shy of half a mile. .
and we get our final Bible lessonfor today: "HIS JUDGMENT COMETH AND THAT RIGHT SOON."Andy Dufresne,who crawled through a river of shit and came out clean on the other side. Andy Dufresne, headed for the Pacific.
I have no idea to this day what them two Italian ladies were singin' about.Truth is,I don't want to know.Some things are best left unsaid.I like to think they were singin' about something so beautiful it can't be expressed in words,and makes your heart ache because of it.I tell you,those voices soared.Higher and farther than anybody in a gray place dares to dream. It was like some beautiful bird flapped into our drab little cage and made these walls dissolve away...and for the briefest of moments,every last man at Shawshank felt free.
Things went on like that for a while.Prison life consists of routine,and then more routine.I guess it comes down to a simple choice: be busy living,or be busy dying.

I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged,that's all.Their feathers are just too bright... and when they fly away,the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice...but still,the place you live is that much more drab and empty that they're gone.
这句我也很喜欢，也有许多人引用做签名。多是中文。可多翻译的莫名其妙。什么“每片羽翼都沾着自由的光辉……”原文哪有这么说？估计都是看同一版D害的。我在99年买了盘VCD，效果相当好！翻译的也非常到位。至今珍藏，现在手头有的6、7个版本的《肖申克的救赎》，翻译水平均无法与之相比。 |
